Reza Zarei, the man killed in Baniyas, was looking after Iran’s oil shipments to Syria.

Analysts say that Israel is now targeting high-value assets to sever the link between players in Tehran and Syria.

Israel has been known to conduct airstrikes in Syria for years to prevent Iran from involving itself in a military capacity in Syria.

But since it went to war with Gaza, Israel’s strategy seems to have changed, reports Al Jazeera.
