Covering Trump: CNN’s ‘Messy’ And ‘Tricky’ Job

CNN CEO Jeff Zucker defended the network’s coverage of former President Donald Trump, calling it “tricky and messy” during an editorial call on Thursday morning, according to former CNN anchor Brian Stelter.

Zucker reportedly said that “America was served very well by what we did last night,” referring to CNN’s coverage of Trump.

He acknowledged that covering Trump was challenging and would “continue to be messy and tricky.”

The network slammed with the accusation of ‘bias’ against Trump

CNN has been a prominent critic of Trump since he first announced his candidacy for president in 2015.

The network’s coverage of Trump has been praised and criticized, with some accusing the network of being too biased against the former president.

Zucker defends the network’s coverage, tags it ‘important.’

However, Zucker defended the network’s coverage, saying it was “important” and that CNN was responsible for reporting Trump’s actions and statements.

“Every single day, we’ve got to stand up and say that what this president is doing is not normal, it’s not appropriate, it’s not right,” Zucker reportedly said.

“And if we don’t stand up and say that, then we are not doing our jobs,” he added.

Trump and his supporters have made numerous false claims about the election, leading to a wave of conspiracy theories and disinformation.

Zucker said that CNN had a duty to push back against these false claims and to provide accurate information to its viewers.
