Actor and former WWE superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently clarified the political affiliations of his friends who support the Democratic Party during an appearance on “The Joe Rogan Podcast.” In a conversation with the host about how people used to have friends from different political parties without any issues, Johnson mentioned that he has friends who are both Trump and Biden supporters.
However, he noted that his friends who support Biden are more loyal to the Democratic Party rather than specifically supporting Biden. The topic arose after Rogan remarked on how political differences between friends used to be a non-issue.
Johnson agreed and shared his own experiences, stating that he has friends who support both Trump and Biden. Rogan seemed surprised and asked if he really had friends who support Biden. Realizing his mistake, Johnson laughed and clarified that he has friends who are loyal to the Democratic Party.
Although Johnson joked about the rarity of genuine support for Biden among Democratic voters, he publicly supported the now-president during the 2020 election. After Biden’s victory, he expressed his happiness and stated that his vote represented values of decency and being a good human being.
In addition to his support for Biden, Johnson has also contemplated a run for presidency and has gained popularity among some voters. A recent column in The Washington Post suggested that he could offer a new direction and break the cycle of a Biden/Trump rematch.
