Joe Biden is demanding financial transparency while concealing his own wealth

Ex-Vice President Joe Biden is anticipating that he intends to launch an attack on his rivals at the presidential debate stage over absence of transparency in their finances.

According to Bloomberg, Biden most likely will attack Senator Elizabeth Warren particularly for not disclosing details of personal income during the 90s as well as 2000s from firms which she now blames for harming the system.

While being a law teacher, Warren conducted consulting-related work for the private firms which involved her into bankruptcy expertise. This also includes her consulting Dow Corning during 1995 in a major case. Warren released her income tax returns of the year 2008.

Biden might be looking forward to impede Warren for hypocrisy. However, his charge of absence of financial transparency is undercut badly by his wealth opacity.

Since the time he left the White House, Biden started delivering speeches to clients and garnered money from sale of a book which raised him to upper class. Biden earned around $15.6mn over past 2 years, as per financial disclosures that were released by his own campaign.

In spite of all the tax return releases, the details on Biden earned a major portion of that amount is like a mystery.

The Washington Post received 4 contracts showing that he charged $150,000-$200,000 for each speech. However, Biden declined to disclose the actual amount he received for the other speeches.

Warren and Biden are set to meet for first ever time at the debate stage in Houston on Thursday.
