Mixed Reactions to Trump’s Appearance at South Carolina Rivalry Game

Former President Donald Trump made an appearance at South Carolina’s chief college football rivalry on Saturday, receiving both cheers and boos from the crowd.

The Clemson University-University of South Carolina rivalry game, also known as the Palmetto Bowl, became a platform for Trump to compete against his rising rival, former U.N Ambassador Nikki Haley, in the 2024 GOP presidential primary.

Governor Henry McMaster, who has endorsed Trump, accompanied the former president to Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. Senator Lindsey Graham also joined them. However, Haley, an alumna of Clemson University, did not make an appearance.
