Two Orlando police officers are in critical condition after being shot during a traffic stop at 11 p.m. on Friday. The incident occurred in the area of Garland and Washington while the officers were investigating a vehicle, and the suspect opened fire on them.

Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith confirmed the officers’ condition, stating that both are being treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He expressed sadness for the department and thanked other law enforcement agencies for their assistance in the ongoing search for the suspect.
Following the shooting, the suspect carjacked another vehicle, leading to a vehicle pursuit. The police are actively looking for the suspect, and Chief Smith issued a direct message, assuring that they will be brought to justice.
As of now, the names of the injured officers have not been released, and no suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
