In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) criticized President Biden’s Iran policy and its consequences on the conflict between Israel and Hamas. He argued that every time Biden lectures Israel on human rights, he unknowingly signals that Hamas propaganda is effective.
Waltz called for starving Iran of funds used to finance terrorism and warned that open borders in the U.S. are a ticking time bomb for terrorism.
Waltz condemned the Biden administration for pressuring Israel to install the Palestinian Authority (PA) in Gaza after Hamas. He described the PA as corrupt and lacking popularity. He also criticized the two-state paradigm and highlighted Hamas’s opposition to it.
Waltz suggested that Gulf Arab states should support a new generation of Palestinian leaders and liberate the Palestinian people from the terrorist dictatorship of Hamas.
The congressman emphasized that Iran is the root cause of the conflict, stating that as long as Iran has funds, Hamas will continue to rise. He urged the administration to reverse its failed Iran policy and cut off Iran’s funding of terrorism.
To circumvent the administration’s policies, Congress has passed the SHIP Act, imposing secondary sanctions on refiners, ports, and shipping companies that move Iranian oil.

Calling for a return to maximum pressure on Iran, Waltz warned of a nuclear arms race if Iran acquires nuclear weapons.
He stressed the need for the administration to completely reverse its stance on Iran.
Regarding threats of terrorism on American soil, Waltz revealed that the FBI is tracking nearly 200 leads of individuals on terrorist watch lists across the country.
He called it a ticking time bomb and expressed concern that the open border could lead to an attack similar to what Israel experienced.
Waltz, a former Green Beret and policy adviser, emphasized the urgency of addressing these issues.
