Russian Missile Strikes Claim 11 Lives, Including 5 Children, in Eastern Ukraine

In a tragic incident, eleven individuals, including five children, lost their lives in Russian S-300 missile strikes that struck Ukraine’s Donetsk region on Saturday. The strikes, which targeted the Pokrovsk district, have raised concerns about the ongoing conflict in the eastern part of Ukraine.

Deadly Strikes on Pokrovsk District

The local military administration in Donetsk reported that the strikes resulted in eleven fatalities and eight individuals sustaining injuries.

S-300 Missiles Used

Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk region military administration, revealed that the strikes were carried out with S-300 missiles. The hardest-hit areas were Pokrovsk and Rivne within the Myrnohrad community.

Search and Rescue Operations Ongoing

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) is actively engaged in search and rescue operations at the strike site. Three private houses were completely destroyed in the strikes.

One Person Rescued

Rescue workers successfully rescued one individual from the rubble. Additionally, SES personnel managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in a residential building, demonstrating their dedication to the rescue efforts.
