Struggling Bud Light Considers Its Way Forward After Disastrous ‘Woke’ Marketing Campaign

Bud Light’s sales continue to decline nationwide as the repercussions of the brand’s collaboration with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney persist.

Bud Light sales are falling through the floor

A report referencing Connecticut-based Bump Williams Consulting, an alcoholic beverage industry specialist firm, reveals that Bud Light sales fell 26.1% during the week of April 17 to April 22 compared to the same period last year.

Sales had decreased by 21% the previous week and 11% the week before that.

Bud Light could be in ‘serious trouble’ if the company doesn’t bounce back

Bump Williams warns that if Bud Light fails to bounce back, it could be “in serious trouble this year,” adding that “I think it runs the risk of losing that No. 1 position at the end of calendar year 2023 to Modelo Especial.”

This financial blow to the renowned beer brand comes as conservatives across the United States continue to boycott Anheuser-Busch products.

People are outraged by Bud Light’s ‘woke’ decision

Many right-wing individuals are outraged by Bud Light’s “woke” decision to have Mulvaney, a biological male who identifies as female, endorse their product while dressed as Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

The partnership with the transgender activist seems to have been part of the effort by executives to “evolve and elevate” Bud Light.

However, it has significantly damaged both Anheuser-Busch’s finances and public image, with at least two senior marketing executives being forced to take a leave of absence.

The company is planning a new marketing campaign to try recover

Anheuser-Busch executives are reportedly planning a new marketing campaign in an attempt to rescue their brand.

Meanwhile, left-wing individuals are urging them to reiterate their backing of Mulvaney and the transgender community.

A letter from the Human Rights Campaign to Anheuser-Busch on April 26 reportedly stated, “In this moment, it is absolutely critical for Anheuser-Busch to stand in solidarity with Dylan and the trans community.”

LGBTQ activists call on Bud Light to affirm their LGBTQ stance

“However, when faced with anti-LGBTQ+ and transphobic criticism, Anheuser-Busch’s actions demonstrate a profound lack of fortitude in upholding its values of diversity, equity, and inclusion to employees, customers, shareholders, and the LGBTQ+ community,” wrote Jay Brown, Senior Vice President at the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

“This not only lends credence to hate-filled rhetoric, it exposes Anheuser-Busch to long-term business impacts with employees and customers increasingly looking for steadfast commitment to LGBTQ+ corporate citizenships.”

However, the numbers don’t lie, and Anheuser-Busch affirming its partnership with Dylan Mulvaney could be the final nail in the coffin.
