Trump’s Verbal Slip-Ups Raise Questions About His Cognitive Ability

The 2024 campaign of President Joe Biden has released a series of videos showcasing gaffes and puzzling statements made by his Republican rival, former President Donald Trump. These videos have reignited discussions and concerns regarding Trump’s cognitive abilities.

Trump’s Incoherent Utterances

One video clip, starting mid-sentence, captures Trump speaking in New Hampshire, where he struggled to articulate: “Which is incapable of solving’ even the sollest… smallest problem. The simplest of problems we can no longer solve.” 

“Death Penalty”

He further stated, “We are an institute in a powerful death penalty. We will put this on.”

Pronunciation Troubles

Another video portrays the 2024 Republican front runner seemingly acting as a narrator, saying, “Yes, oh yes, and quickly says President Trump. We will be there very quickly.” 

Clime Instead of Climate

Additionally, at a recent campaign rally in New Hampshire, Trump mispronounced the word “climate” as “clime.”

Claims About Mental Health

During the same event, Trump assured voters that he had recently excelled in a mental fitness test.

Cognitive Test

He recounted, “I don’t know if you saw, but a few months ago, I took a cognitive test my doctor gave me.”

“I Aced It”

He mentioned requesting the test, stating, “I said, ‘give me a cognitive test, just so we can you know,’ because you know what the standards were, and I aced it.”

Challenging a Rival’s Cognitive Ability

On another occasion, Trump went as far as challenging his GOP rival Nikki Haley to a cognitive test.

She’s Not Going To Win

He said, “Well, I think I’m a lot sharper than her. I would do this: I would sit down right now and take an aptitude test, and it would be my result against her result, and she’s not going to win, not gonna even come close to winning.”

Hally Questioning Trump

This challenge followed Haley’s questioning of Trump’s cognition after he appeared to confuse her with Speaker Nancy Pelosi during a campaign speech.
