Tuberville’s Obstruction Ends as 11 Four-Star Generals and Admirals Finally Confirmed

The Senate has recently confirmed 11 four-star generals and admirals, ending a nearly year-long holdup instigated by Senator Tommy Tuberville. This blockade was a response to the Pentagon’s abortion policy.

Alongside the 11 four-star nominees, five additional one- and three-star officers were confirmed. These confirmations occurred following Tuberville’s decision to ease his protest earlier in the month.

Among the newly confirmed officers are the vice chiefs of the Army, Space Force, Navy, and Air Force. Leadership positions for Northern Command, Space Command, and Cyber Command were also filled.
