Ukraine Claims Heavy Casualties for Russian Forces on Christmas

On Christmas Day, Russia experienced substantial losses in Ukraine, according to reports from the Ukrainian military. This marks the latest development in the ongoing conflict between the two nations, where Moscow has faced significant setbacks.

Ukraine’s military disclosed that Russia suffered more than 1,000 soldier casualties, along with the loss of 22 tanks and 37 armored personnel vehicles, on December 25. These numbers contribute to a grim overall toll for Russia in the conflict.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the downing of “two more Russian military aircraft” on December 24. This marks a total of five ‘Su’ aircraft shot down in the week leading up to Christmas.
