White House Blames Republicans for Aggravating Border Crisis

The White House has publicly blamed Republicans for worsening the situation at the southern border. This accusation came as Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) prepares to lead a delegation to the border, coinciding with a surge in migrant arrivals.

Andrew Bates, a spokesperson for the White House, made a statement arguing that the Republican Party’s track record is anti-border security. He emphasized their hindrance of President Biden’s border-related proposals and their refusal to vote for funding border security.

Bates further asserted, “Actions speak louder than words.” He criticized House Republicans for their record, which includes efforts to reduce Customs and Border Protection personnel and opposition to Biden’s significant border security funding.
