Marc Gilpin, known for his role as Sean Brody in the movie “Jaws 2,” has passed away at the age of 56 after battling cancer. The news was confirmed by his sister, actress Peri Gilpin, who shared a heartfelt tribute to her late brother on Instagram.

In her tribute, Peri Gilpin praised Marc’s wife, Kaki, for her unwavering love and support during his illness. She also expressed admiration for Kaki’s role as a wife, mother, first-grade teacher, sister, and sister-in-law.
Marc Gilpin’s breakthrough role was in “Jaws 2” in 1978, where he played the son of Police Chief Martin Brody, portrayed by Roy Scheider. Although he had a relatively short acting career, he left a lasting impact with notable appearances in “Fantasy Island,” “The Legend of the Lone Ranger,” and “Earthbound.”

After garnering attention for his performance in “Surviving,” Marc was signed by manager Jerry Silverhardt, but he agreed to the signing only if his sister Peri was also included.
