Russia’s representative to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, had warned Finland, expressing concern that if there were any escalation in the region, they would be the first to suffer due to their proximity to Russia and NATO.

Shapps assured that UK troops are fully armed and prepared to respond if Putin were to attempt a major offensive. He highlighted the United Kingdom’s military capabilities, ranking fifth globally, and emphasized the readiness of their soldiers and advanced equipment.
