Title IX rewrite violates women’s rights, U. S Secretary of Education admits

A recent lawsuit settlement against a Vermont high school has provided vindication for Blake Allen, a brave female athlete, and her father, who spoke out against a biological male being present in the girls’ locker room.

This case highlights the dangerous consequences of trans activism undermining women’s rights. Further, it exposes the Biden administration’s misguided attempt to rewrite Title IX in favor of men who “identify” as women.

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona must reconsider his indefensible Title IX rules, which have been placed on hold until October.

Cardona faced questioning from a congressional committee examining his department’s policies and priorities during a recent hearing on Capitol Hill.

Cardona faces scrutiny over proposed Title IX rewrite

However, his admission that forcing women athletes to undress in the presence of biological males, such as University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) swimmer Lia Thomas, amounts to sexual harassment came as a surprise.

Appearing before the House Education and Workforce Committee, Cardona knew he would face scrutiny regarding his proposed rewrite of Title IX, which permits males self-identifying as women to participate in female sports teams.

Foxx criticizes the Biden administration’s Title IX agenda

Chairwoman Virginia Foxx, R-NC, criticized the Biden administration’s radical Title IX agenda, which grants any man the right to claim “womanhood” and compete in women’s sports.

She pointed out the flaw in allowing self-identification as a basis for one’s gender identity, highlighting the absurdity of someone claiming to be a man one day and a woman the next.

Republicans urge Cardona to withdraw ‘rogue’ Title IX rule

The public comment period on President Biden’s proposed rule, which mandates “gender identity” inclusion in school sports, had just ended before Cardona’s appearance, with a flood of opposition.

The law threatens to withhold federal funding from schools that refuse to allow males identifying as women to join female athletic teams.

Committee Republicans had urged Cardona to withdraw this rogue Title IX rule, which directly contradicts the recently passed Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.

During the hearing, Rep. Erin Houchin, R-Ind., questioned Cardona about sexual harassment under Title IX:

Houchin: Do you believe that requiring women to undress in front of Lia Thomas and allowing Lia Thomas to undress in front of female athletes constitutes sexual harassment, yes or no?

Cardona: I don’t believe students should feel unsafe in any locker room.

Houchin: Do you believe it constitutes sexual harassment to force women to undress in front of biological males?

Further questioning on sexual harassment concerns in Title IX

Cardona: I do believe forcing women to undress in front of biological males is a concern and sexual, yes.

Houchin: So, if Lia Thomas identifies as male, would requiring female swimmers to dress with him have constituted sexual harassment?

Cardona: I think I know the line of questioning, and I’d be happy to. It’s not a yes or no question for me.

Trans activism suffocates common sense and decency

Cardona is forced to acknowledge the obvious: forcing women to share a locker room with a naked male against their will is sexual harassment.

However, he finds himself trapped in defending that position due to the influence of trans activism within the Biden administration, which has suffocated common sense and decency.

Female athletes are being held hostage by ideological activism on display in Cardona’s appearance before Congress and federal rulemaking.

Biden, Cardona ‘abandon’ women, ‘idolize’ transwomen

Despite Cardona’s admission, he and President Biden continue to abandon women in favor of idolizing “transwomen.” The American people are not blind to this situation.

Cardona has finally admitted that allowing trans-identifying males to undress in female locker rooms constitutes sexual harassment violating Title IX.

A need for Cardona to prioritize female athletes’ rights, safety

It is time for Cardona to prioritize the rights and safety of female athletes over appeasing transactivist agendas.

The exploitation of women cannot be tolerated any longer. The Education Secretary has to rectify this situation and ensure that women’s rights are protected under Title IX.

The future of women’s sports and the well-being of female athletes depend on it.
