We may earn a commission if you buy through a partner link, but that does not change the review criteria, rating logic, or our assessment of fit and risk.

Key Takeaways:

  • Predictive Alpha's An-E AI scans 2,384 U.S. stocks and generates forward-looking price projections with expected ranges up to 21 trading days ahead
  • The $129 first-year price includes full AI forecasting access, monthly trade recommendations, weekly video updates, top bullish picks, and four bonus reports
  • Keith Kaplan's background is in financial technology — the service reflects that with a software-first, data-driven design rather than a narrative-driven newsletter approach
  • Monthly trade ideas come from CMT-certified analysts with specific entry points, stop losses, and target dates — reducing guesswork on execution
  • Past examples include Applied Digital up 16% in six days and Carvana up 25% in two days — individual results will vary and the system does produce false positives

The Stock Dorks editorial team follows a structured review process to research, write, and update our reviews, market education, and investing-related evaluations. We evaluate products, publications, and services using consistent criteria, which may include depth and quality of information, accuracy and credibility, readability, user experience, and how actionable the guidance is in real-world investing. We also consider relevant community feedback and revisit content when key details change so our reviews remain timely and accurate.

Markets have always moved in cycles, but the speed of today’s swings has made clear just how hard it is to act with confidence.

Keith Kaplan says Predictive Alpha can close that gap with a stock-forecasting AI that scans 2,000 U.S. stocks and projects possible moves up to 21 trading days ahead, offering a more active alternative to old-school buy-and-hold.

In this Predictive Alpha review, I took a close look at whether that approach really makes decisions easier.Predictive Alpha review

What Is Predictive Alpha? Format, Features, and Core Promise

Main Upside

An-E AI forecasting tool covering 2,384 stocks with 21-day price projections — usable on any ticker in seconds, backed by monthly CMT-certified trade ideas

What Stands Out

The An-E engine itself — type any ticker and instantly get a price projection with expected range and timeline, usable independently of the monthly recommendations

Main Tradeoff

Short-term trading focus with only three daily searches — not suited for long-term investors, options traders, or heavy users who need unlimited forecast access

Predictive Alpha is TradeSmith’s AI-powered forecasting service built for people who want a clearer way to handle a market that no longer rewards blind patience the way old-school buy-and-hold once did.

At the center of it is An-E, the platform’s analytical engine, which tracks more than 2,000 U.S. stocks and generates forward-looking price forecasts based on each stock’s own ideal historical window.

Using it is as easy as typing a ticker into the system to check where it could be headed, along with a projected path and expected range over the days ahead.

Members also get access to the top three most bullish stocks in the system at any given time, at least two monthly trade ideas from the research team, and weekly updates that explain how current recommendations are developing and when to act.

I’ll break this down further in a bit, but before that, I want to uncover a bit about the brains behind it all.

Who Is Keith Kaplan? TradeSmith CEO Background and Experience

Keith Kaplan is the CEO of TradeSmith, where he leads a business built around investment software, market research, and portfolio tools.

His background is rooted more in technology than in traditional Wall Street stock picking, which is part of what makes his role at Predictive Alpha make sense.

Now with more than 25 years of experience, the guru is a veteran software architect, and that shows in the way he talks about data, systems, and decision-making.

He comes across as someone focused on building practical tools for people who want a more structured way to approach the market.

Is Keith Kaplan Legit?

Yes, Keith Kaplan is legit, and his credibility comes from scale, execution, and a long track record in financial technology.

More than 120,000 subscribers rely on Kaplan’s tools to track over $29 billion in portfolio assets.

That gives a measurable record of building products people actually use.

Keith also has an active publishing footprint through TradeSmith, with a steady stream of articles and market commentary under his name, so he is not just sitting in the background as a company executive.

Furthermore, Predictive Alpha is a software-first service, and Kaplan’s experience is strongest in exactly that area.

He has built his reputation by leading a platform centered on data, tools, and usability.

What Does Keith Kaplan’s Buy and Hold Presentation Cover?

Keith Kaplan is really speaking to people who are tired of doing what they were told was the smart thing and still getting whipped around by the market.

We’ve all been taught that buy and hold is the way to go, but it has quietly turned into sit and pray.

Between the COVID crash, the 2022 bear market, and the 2025 tariff selloff, a lot of long-term positions have felt more stressful than dependable.

The opportunity Kaplan puts on the table is simple: stop riding every wave blindly and start using a tool built to catch shorter, cleaner moves before they fully unfold.

Why AI Outperforms Human Analysis in Stock Market Forecasting

I think we can all agree at this point that artificial intelligence is here to stay.

While there are those still fighting against it, the rest of the world is embracing it for new technologies and, quite frankly, easier ways of doing things.

As scary as it sounds, it does many of those things better than we could, too. AI can find diseases faster than humans, plan out more effective military campaigns, and even beat grandmasters at their own logic games.

Why not put the same logic behind writing a research paper to the stock market?

AI can find patterns in stocks that humans simply can’t see, and it never needs to rest, eat, or deal with emotion.

It’s high time to try something new when the old strategy stops proving fruitful, and Kaplan has just the answer.

How Predictive Alpha’s An-E AI Forecasts Stock Prices Up to 21 Trading Days Ahead

As it turns out, Kaplan’s strategy goes in a completely different direction.

Instead of asking you to commit to a stock for years and ride out every ugly stretch, Predictive Alpha is built to look for shorter windows where a move is more likely to happen.

The software’s forecasting engine, An-E, covers more than 2,000 U.S. stocks and can project likely price paths up to 21 trading days ahead.

That changes the whole mindset. You are not hunting for the next forever stock, but rather a strong setup with a defined window.

Even better, An-E takes tons of guesswork out of the equation, leaving you with very specific forecasts that you can either pursue or not.

The tool admittedly sounds great to me, but how can I put it to work for me?

How to Use Predictive Alpha Daily: Forecasts, Top Picks, and Trade Alerts

What makes this more than a clever anti-buy-and-hold argument is that Kaplan ties it to a service people can actually use day to day.

Members can check forecasts on their own tickers, view the top three most bullish stocks in the system, and follow the team’s monthly trade ideas plus weekly guidance on when to buy and when to sell.

You can get immediate access to it all through a Predictive Alpha subscription, making the entire process quite convenient.

With that in mind, join me next as I take a thorough look at the service.

Predictive Alpha Full Access: AI Forecasts for 2,384 Stocks With 5 Weekly Searches

A full year inside Predictive Alpha gives you ongoing access to the AI system that can forecast 2,384 U.S. stocks, to the penny, days in advance.

You can look up three forecasts per day and see the dotted projection line and the expected price range for each stock you enter.

What you pick is entirely up to you here. You can tap into big names like Amazon and Nvidia, or lean into more under-the-radar plays you have interest in.

Every stock has its own internal algorithm and unique forecasting window that can stretch up to twenty-one trading days into the future.

It feels surprisingly simple to use. You type in a ticker, and the AI shows where it believes the price is likely headed.

I was leery at first about predicting the future, and Predictive Alpha can’t always get it right – but the results can be quite astounding.

Monthly Trade Recommendations: Two CMT-Certified Picks With Entry, Stop Loss, and Target

Each month, the Predictive Alpha team sends you two trade recommendations shaped by the AI’s highest probability setups.

These alerts arrive with clear entry points, stop losses, and target dates so you know how to approach each idea.

If you’re worried about looking up tickers on your own, this is a nice shortcut. Plus, the analysts pulling these trades are CMT-certified and actively monitor market conditions to help time your moves.

The appeal here is speed. You are not sitting in long positions for months at a time. You receive specific opportunities built for a market that moves fast.

Top 3 Bullish Stocks: What the An-E AI Is Most Confident About Right Now

One of my favorite features is a special section of the Predictive Alpha portal that displays the three stocks the AI is most bullish on at any moment.

So you always see where the AI believes the strongest near-term potential sits.

Thanks to this, I don’t have to cut into my three searches per day to find the most promising setups.

If I’m being honest, I trust the thousands of algorithms running behind the scenes to find awesome picks more than I do my own research.

You get the reasons why these picks appear here too, so you never have to invest without knowing what you’re walking into.

Weekly Video Market Analysis

Each week, the team films a short video that walks you through what the AI is seeing across the broader market.

They also give updates on open trade recommendations and point out emerging setups you may want to watch.

There’s no better way to learn than straight from the gurus themselves, which is why this feature really stands out to me. I wish more services had a feature like this.

You’re also learning the behind-the-scenes thought processes that can help you develop new skills and set you up for success.

I’m a video guy for sure, but there are transcripts here as well if that’s more your style

Predictive Alpha Bonus Reports

Predictive Alpha includes several in-depth bonus resources designed to help you understand the broader shift toward AI-driven investing:

The Next and Biggest Ever Phase of the AI Boom

Special Report #1: The Next and Biggest Ever Phase of the AI Boom

This report focuses on the newest phase of the AI boom and spotlights three companies the Predictive Alpha team believes are positioned for significant upside.

he analysts for the service, John Jagerson and Wade Hansen, explain that these companies were chosen after extensive research into how AI is reshaping industries and where early growth could accelerate.

You’ll get the full story on why these ventures stand out, how AI is creating measurable economic impact, and what catalysts could drive these stocks higher.

I love how it goes beyond just stock picks though, giving an unparalleled view into the mechanics that lead to each selection.
The Predictive AI Playbook

Special Report #2: The Predictive AI Playbook

A tool is useless if you don’t know how it works, and Predictive Alpha remedies that with this bonus report.

It breaks down the logic behind the software’s forecasting process, explains how probability ranges are generated, and shows how different stocks follow unique forecast windows.

This playbook is an incredibly detailed instructional guide for the platform, giving you a full walkthrough of how to interpret the projections and why certain setups tend to produce faster gains.

It is meant to shorten the learning curve so you can focus on whether to invest rather than fighting through trial and error.

You also get real examples that illustrate how the AI responds to volatile market stretches, which is helpful when you want to use the system consistently.

The AI Investing Revolution

Special Report #3: The AI Investing Revolution

The AI Investing Revolution expands on the central theme of the presentation by explaining how AI is rewriting the rules of modern investing.

Keith refers to a “divide” forming between individuals who use predictive tools and those who continue relying on strategies shaped decades ago.

Let’s face it – times change, and we need to adapt to new methodologies for fear of being left in the past.

This will be an eye-opener if you’re not ready for AI and the impact it’s already having on the world around us.

Whether you like it or not, Jagerson and Hansen bring up some great points here on why AI can help with your investing.

It’s worth a careful read, but ultimately it’s up to you how to adapt.

The Foundations of Wealth

Special Report #4: The Foundations of Wealth

This bonus acts as a grounding piece that steps back from AI and focuses on the core principles  Keith learned on his road to financial success.

These are key lessons that honestly everyone should understand before applying any strategy, including how to approach risk, how to think about compounding, and how to maintain discipline during uncertain periods.

The Foundations of Wealth helps anchor the faster-paced nature of Predictive Alpha by giving you a framework for making steady, well-informed decisions as you move through each trade.

It is also meant to counter the anxiety that comes from market turbulence by offering a stable set of principles that have held up through multiple market cycles.

Thanks to the promo, you can get your first year of membership for just $129, which knocks nearly 75% off the regular rate.

Predictive Alpha Performance Claims: Backtesting Results and Real Examples

The big claim Predictive Alpha states is the possibility of earning up to 252% over the next year while lowering your long-term risk.

They used backtesting to confirm these same findings over the last three years, along with some early user buy-in, so the potential is there.

Kaplan shares several examples of stocks that grew after the system recommended them, which is another feather in that cap.

Applied Digital jumped 16% in six days, Carvana moved 25% in two days, and even big names like Meta and Amazon had longer-term success stories.

I’ve seen several instances where An-E forecasted share prices within a dollar of the actual outcome weeks in advance, once again proving what it’s capable of.

Obviously, there’s no guarantee that same trend will continue, but it’s encouraging none the less.

Risks: Drawdowns, and Execution Gaps

A system’s past success is no indication that you’ll see the same results now, but this is true of any investment, so I don’t hold that against Predictive Alpha’s process.

Kaplan keeps his best foot forward when sharing results which, although I am sure they’re true, mask the blunders that would have led to losses for readers.

These false positives may look great on paper but just don’t materialize when the time comes, even with An-E’s predictive prowess working overtime. For a fuller picture of what can go wrong, see our breakdown of Predictive Alpha risk factors before sizing any position.

Don’t take these recommendations as gospel, and I’ve never invested in a stock here that I haven’t analyzed on my own after downloading Predictive Alpha’s data.

At the end of the day, it’s my judgement call whether or not to invest, and that same reality holds for you.

Who Should Skip Predictive Alpha: Is It Right for You?

Simply put, if you haven’t liked something I’ve said so far, then Predictive Alpha probably isn’t suitable for you.

It’s designed to offer a forecast for how stocks may look, but it’s not here to do all the work for you.

You’ll still need to be active in research and watching your positions, as you won’t get updates from Predictive Alpha on those.

Day and swing trading strategies don’t really mesh well here either, given how the strategy is designed.

Predictive Alpha Review — FAQs

What should “predictive” mean in a trading or signals service?

At a minimum, it should mean a clearly described methodology and transparent limits. If the signal logic is proprietary, the service should still explain what inputs drive signals and when the approach tends to fail.

What evidence matters most for signals performance claims?

Timestamped alerts, consistent entry/exit rules, and results that reflect realistic execution. Claims without dates, sizing, and a full trade history are hard to validate.

How can I use signals without over-relying on them?

Treat signals as prompts for your own checklist (liquidity, catalyst, risk/reward) and use predefined sizing and stop/exit rules. A credible review emphasizes risk management over “win rate” headlines.
